What is a PTO?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. We are registered in the state of Colorado as a 501-3(c) Non-Profit Group. We do not earn money for profit, we donate all of our money to Meadow View Elementary, in Castle Rock, Colorado.
The PTO Board is an elected group of volunteer parents and/or teachers of students enrolled at MDVE. We are a Parent Teacher Organization not a Parent Teacher Association, which means that there is no fee to join. We encourage all enrolled households to attend and participate in our monthly meetings.
All meetings are governed using Robert's Rules of Order. That means that we follow a order of operations to ensure meetings are organized and moving forward. Our organization also uses these bylaws as guidelines to ensure professionalism and order.
We hold in person meetings and have added an online Google Meet option as well! All are welcome!
Our Mission
It is our mission to enrich the educational and social experience of all Meadow View students through the cooperative efforts of the staff, parents and Meadow View community by seeking resources (funds, materials and services) with educationally focused goals that further the interests of our school community.
