What Does the PTO Do?

PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. Our mission is to support the Meadow View Elementary teachers, students and school community as a whole. We do this primarily through fundraising to support school programs and hosting events that help connect the school community!

  • Come to a PTO Meeting! This year’s meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month (no meetings in December) in person with a virtual (Google Meet) option. Our first general meeting of the school year is Thursday, August 11th at 6 p.m.

Ways to support PTO:

  • Check out our partnership programs for information about supporting Meadow View PTO through Scrips, King Soopers Community Rewards, Amazon Smile and American Furniture Warehouse!

  • Become a business sponsor! We are looking for small businesses to sponsor our Fall and Spring fundraisers. More info coming soon.

  • Volunteer! We are looking for helpers to join our Fall Fun Run committee and our Spring Teacher Appreciation Week committee.

How We Help - Specifics!

Last school year, we raised over $67K through our two main fundraisers (Fun Run and Read-a-Thon) and rewards programs!

We used those funds to accomplish the following to fulfill our mission of supporting MDVE students, teachers and school community!

  • Hosted Donuts with Dads and Breakfast with Buddies events for our school community

  • Provided an awesome Teacher Appreciation Week with lots of delicious catered meals!

  • Gave over $12K in teacher and staff grants for awesome things like: 

    • PebbleGo subscription for safe, kid-friendly Internet research

    • 6th Grade Continuation breakfast

    • Switch-activated toys for students with physical limitations

    • Slant boards

    • iPads

    • Shelving unit to hold sketch books

    • Sensory tools for mindfulness practice

    • CMAS treats

    • Brain Pop subscription for entire school

    • New library books
