Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Dear Meadow View Family,

On behalf of the Meadow View PTO, we are excited to welcome you to the 2019-20 school year at Meadow View! Whether you have kindies, sixth graders or anyone in between, there are many ways for you to get involved and be part of our MDVE community.

The PTO meets roughly once a month at 6 p.m. in the MDVE library/media center. Meetings generally last about an hour to an hour and a half. Our primary function is to support MDVE staff and students by sponsoring events that strengthen the bond of our school community and to raise funds to support technological and educational needs that are not funded by the District. The PTO is open to all parents and grandparents who have children attending MDVE. There is no fee to join, and everyone is welcome! You can get all the details on our website – – or “Like” us on Facebook (search for Meadow View Elementary PTO or click on the link from Our first meeting of the year will take place on Wednesday, August 14th at 6 p.m. in the library/media center.

PTO sponsors and hosts several events throughout the year, including Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom. We also host two large fundraisers each year – our first is the Day of Awesomeness in the fall and another TBA in the spring. We have worked hard to provide fun fundraising opportunities without asking our students to sell anything.

We also have smaller fundraising opportunities throughout the year.

  • King Soopers Neighborhood Rewards cards (link your King Soopers reward card to Meadowview Elementary PTO in which King Soopers will give back 5% of all purchases to the school)

  • Box Tops for Education (an ongoing collection with monthly incentives)

  • Amazon Smile (designate Meadow View Elementary PTO as the beneficiary for your Amazon purchases, and 0.5% of all eligible purchases will benefit the school).

The PTO also hosts several Spirit Nights at local restaurants throughout the year (Dates TBA). These events are meant to be optional ways to meet other MDVE families and support the school at the same time. They are not mandatory, and we encourage you to participate only if you are able.

If you aren’t able to make the monthly meeting(s) but would still like to get involved, please contact us ( We are currently seeking volunteers in several areas – some are one-time events, and others are longer-term commitments. We would be happy to help you find one (or more!) that fits your availability and willingness to participate.

Be sure to check out the “Key Dates to Remember” flyer and post it on your fridge for handy reference.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us or any Meadow View PTO board member with questions or concerns. You can find each board member’s contact information on the reverse side of this letter or in the “Contact Us” section of
